Join Brick Bodies for the 2nd Annual John W. Brick Mental Health Foundation 5K!
This September 10th, feel good and do good by participating in the 2nd annual John W. Brick Mental Health Foundation 5K Run & Walk and Family Fun Run! This year’s event will be held at Towson University’s Johnny Unitas Stadium and begins at 8:30 a.m. (Family Fun One Mile Walk begins at 9 a.m.). Before the race, join fellow participants for a pre-race warm-up with Lynne Brick and the Oriole Bird. Runners will start at the Stadium, wind their way through Towson area neighborhoods and finish on the field on the 50-yard line to enjoy a fun-filled post-race party featuring food, music, a Kid’s Fun Zone, cash prizes awarded to top male and female race finishers, age group and team awards and special guests.
Both runners and walkers are welcome to take part in the race! The first 1,200 participants who register will receive an official race shirt, medal and goody bag. Registration is $35 per participant for the 5K run or walk if registered in advance and $40 per participant on race day. Registration for the Family Run One Mile Walk is $25 per participant.
New this year is the ELITE Fundraising team – commit to raise $1,500 by race day and receive awesome “ELITE TEAM” gear and swag bag! Join the ELITE team here, and then email Laurie Amatucci at [email protected] in order to complete the registration process.
All proceeds from this year’s race benefit the John W. Brick Mental Health Foundation, which advances learning on how exercise benefits mental health. The foundation uses a multi-faceted approach to treating mental illness, partnering with world-class institutions to further research in how exercise, diet, relationships and healthcare work together to address mental health.
If you’re not a runner or walker, but would still like to take part in this amazing event, you can volunteer on race day! Volunteers are needed to help with pre-race registration, crowd control, handing out water and medals, etc. Sign up to volunteer here!
